FAQ

How can I join?
Joining is easy! Simply fill out the Registration Form above to get started. Be sure to provide accurate contact details so we can reach you if needed. Also, make sure you have a funded trading account ready to enter the competitive world of professional trading.
How much should I fund my account with?
To qualify for the professional tournament, your trading account must be funded with a minimum of EUR 10,000. You can use either an existing personal account or one with any broker of your choice — whichever works best for you.
Do I need to open a new Trading account?
Not at all! You’re welcome to use an existing account if it meets the tournament requirements. However, if you prefer a fresh start, you can also open a new account specifically for the competition. The choice is yours!
Can I have more than one trading account?
Each individual or company is allowed one trading account. However, you may register one personal account and one separate account under your company’s name, as long as they are clearly distinguished and meet all eligibility requirements.
How do I VERIFY MY WINNINGS?
To keep your standings up-to-date, you’ll need to upload a weekly PDF statement of your trading account. These statements are used to verify your performance and may be reviewed by an official auditor to ensure accuracy and fairness.
Can I still join once the tournament has started?
Yes, you can. However, registrations are not accepted within the final 30 calendar days of the competition, so make sure you enter before November 19, 2025.
how do I join the legends club?
Legends Club members are standout traders who rise to the top of the Leaderboard in one or more categories. An exclusive invite by WSOT is their ticket into this elite circle. Members enjoy perks like global recognition, private mentorships, and podcast features—but winning still comes down to individual performance.
Can i have open trades at the start of the competition?
Yes, you can. At the beginning of the contest, we ask all participants to submit their account statement showing their balance at the time of entry. This can include accounts with open positions, as long as the equity is clearly documented. Statements must reflect the account’s condition either right before the competition begins (if the market is closed), at the moment of entry, or at any time afterwards if the participant joins later.
what is 'calmar ratio' and how is it calculated?
The Calmar Ratio measures risk-adjusted performance by comparing annualized return to maximum drawdown. It’s updated weekly based on cumulative return and drawdown.
Formula:
Calmar Ratio = ((1 + R)^(52 / n) - 1) / Max Drawdown
R = cumulative return (decimal)
n = number of weeks
Max Drawdown = largest drop from peak value
can I deposit or withdraw funds from my trading account during the tournament?
Yes, you can, but this should be reflected in your statement. However, keep in mind that WSOT prohibits any attempts to manipulate performance metrics by using capital movements, such as making large temporary deposits to inflate returns. For example, depositing a large sum mid-competition to boost equity, making a low-risk profit, then withdrawing the funds to show an exaggerated percentage gain. Such actions distort results and may lead to disqualification. WSOT may review accounts, recalculate performance, or request full trading records to ensure fair competition based on genuine risk and performance.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I MISS submitting A STATEMENT?
If you miss a submission, don’t worry — you still have time. Please upload your statement in the as soon as possible, but no later than three weeks after the last date covered in the report - otherwise you risk being disqualified and taken off the ranking. Late submissions may not be included in the rankings, so try to stay on schedule!
how do i track my progress?
Stay in the loop by visiting our Leaderboard in the Fame section. There, you can see if you’re currently ranked among the top 3 contestants in your tournament category. Rankings are updated regularly, so check back often!
WHAT DO I WIN?
Winning WSOT means more than a trophy—it’s a gateway to lasting opportunities. Alongside entry into the Hall of Fame and a chance to join the exclusive Legends Club, top traders may unlock mentoring roles in the WSOT Masterclass, and strike marketing deals, sponsorships, media features, and direct connections to hedge funds.
